WAREHOUSING

Kagan Logistics controls more than 150,000 square metres of racked and bulk warehouse space nationally. Warehouse services are provided in dedicated and multi-user distribution centre environments, as well as, in comprehensive in-house solutions that include the provision of management, technology, systems and people.

All Kagan facilities operate on our Warehouse Management System (WMS) ensuring inventory integrity and, in selective situations, employs radio frequency technology. Our transport services utilise the Translogix Management System.

Most Kagan sites are capable of handling dangerous goods in limited quantities, as well as, refrigerated (cool room and container) and customs controlled storage.

Kagan’s warehousing capabilities also include the storage, handling, packing and unpacking of containers. For example, our Melbourne site is capable of holding approximately 1,800 TEUs (twenty foot equivalent units). Our container fleet includes a Kalmar Reach stacker for 20' and 40' containers. Kagan’s Mobicons assist with the loading and unloading of containers from vehicles.

Inventory Integrity
Apart from undertaking cyclical counts each week to ensure the highest level of inventory accuracy, Kagan Logistics conduct end of financial year stock takes upon request. Our current cyclical counting system incorporates the use of Radio Frequency (RF) equipment, providing a live platform for all stock take activity.

We also issue weekly stock reports, making it easy for our customers to reconcile their records to the activity we have undertaken during the week on their behalf.
