Meet Daniel Clutterbuck - Trainee Operations Manager

Daniel joined Kagan Logistics in 2002 as a network technician, after gaining three years IT work experience within a small business environment.

"I initially heard about Kagan through a friend who was already a member of Kagan’s IT team. I was really impressed by what I was told about Kagan - a great company to work for, with great people and a family atmosphere – so I applied for the network technician’s role, somehow managed to land the job, and in a few short years progressed to the position of Network/Systems Administrator."

"In 2006 I joined Kagan Logistics inaugural Mentor Program to gain a clearer understanding of the business outside of IT, and to obtain a broader understanding and appreciation of Kagan’s operations. The Program also gave me the opportunity to discuss my career ambitions and training requirements."

"In late 2006 I moved from IT into an Operations role and became involved in Kagan’s Management Development Program. This Program enabled me to move throughout the Company and its various sites, allowing me to experience and learn all aspects of Kagan’s operations all the way from unpacking shipping containers, to looking after the day to day operational needs of some of Kagan’s large clients. This experience has given me a greater understanding of the requirements of both Kagan and its clients."

Daniel is currently part of a team rolling out Kagan’s new warehouse management system ‘Red Prairie’ across all of Kagan’s sites nationally.
